The long-awaited establishment of Kabarnet University College is edging closer to reality, with renovation and upgrading works at the Moi Teachers Training College (TTC) building now in their final stages.
Baringo Central MP Hon. Joshua Kandie on Tuesday toured the facility, which is being transformed to host the university college’s inaugural cohort of students. He expressed satisfaction with the progress, noting that the infrastructure is shaping up impressively.
“This development marks a major milestone in expanding access to higher education in the region,” Hon. Kandie said, emphasizing the importance of the new institution in opening opportunities for local students and driving socio-economic growth in Baringo.
The new Kabarnet University College is expected to significantly boost education standards, reduce the need for students to travel long distances for higher learning, and spur investment in Kabarnet town and its environs.
